Prosecutors say dashcam video from Halls' vehicle confirmed her identity. Digital forensics investigators testified that Halls had deleted the dashcam video, but authorities were able to recover the files. An Auburn Police investigator also testified that Halls' internet history included graphic searches involving intoxicated women and rideshare drivers, which prosecutors presented to establish motive and intent. One of the women has reportedly settled a civil lawsuit with Uber for an undisclosed amount, while the other case remains ongoing.
